Hello
Does anyone of you feed the obelisks with gems and is successful? I'm looking for a way to survive wave 230 in easy mode on map Topaz Maze. Feeding my towers won't do it anymore. Wave 230 walks through, almost untouched and my towers are upgraded big time.
Thanks

Can you clarify what the "charged bolt" upgrade to the LT does? Also, with the "razor" upgrade to tornado towers, do they share the vacuumed up dead or do they all benefit from a single dead? Thx.

Lightning Towers are deadly to all enemies even Heavy Armored. So I always start by placing one or two of them at a choke point that every enemy will pass through I upgrade them frequently, not even Treasure Chests can stand up to a well powered LT. I back them up by placing Tornado Generators right next to the LT to slow the enemy down.
Tower Upgrades- I'm not sure if you know this or not, but you can use both Gold Medallion updates for each tower. So for example a Canon Tower after level five can be upgraded to a Berserk Tower then at level Ten you can upgrade with Trebuchet which gives you a Tebuchet that goes Beserke and has a 15% chance of firing at the rate of 1 shot a second for 3 seconds. The same upgrade method can be applied to any of the towers. Obelisks are excluded as always.

My best strategy so far (high of 2mil+ on Topaz Maze, Wave 202, Hard):
Start with a Lightning Tower and upgrade it with Blue Gems until I can afford a Tornado Generator to slow down the baddies. Next I add another LT and another TG in the same neighborhood.
Then I start adding Obelisks - one of each, first Damage, then Range, then Speed. All the while, I'm spreading my gems evenly among existing towers.
Now I add LTs all around the Obs, but only in the immediate vicinity of the others.
To clarify, what I end up with is three Obs surrounded by LTs, but only up to two spaces away, so that each LT benefits from all three Obs. Yes, you read that right.....ALL Lightning Towers and Obelisks. No cannons, no arrows.
Finally, I add TGs in all other available spaces till the map is filled. Got to slow those bastards down.
As the game progresses, I target the Obs at whichever enemy is weakest so that my LTs don't steal all the kills (and all the level ups).
Still tweaking this strategy and I'm open to suggestions for improvements.

I had pumped over a thousand gems in it, the entire cluster was pumping out nearly 1.2 million damage every 3 seconds. I guess that I should start on Normal or Hard to get higher, but it was very satisfying to see my name there. get back to us when you get to 243 on hard!

scotto, this thread is about strategy, don't you have anything to add here or did you just register for that fantastic line of yours?

Also, with the "razor" upgrade to tornado towers, do they share the vacuumed up dead or do they all benefit from a single dead? Thx. Charged Bolt - For every 500 damage it deals to a single enemy, it'll strike that enemy for an additional 150% of its current damage. For example, a Lightning Tower level 1 with Charged Bolt level 1 does 20 damage every 1/5 second (so 100 damage per second). It needs to do 500 damage in 5 seconds to a Medium-sized enemy, then on the next strike it'll do 30 damage (150% damage from Charged Bolt level 1). A real-world example would be like overloading charge on a battery; it'll explode after awhile. Now if the Lightning Tower exceeds 500 total damage, it'll always do bonus damage (150% for level 1 and 200% for level 2). Razor - Tornado Generators with this upgrade will not benefit from a single corpse; it's first come, first serve. So if there's 2 Tornado Generators with Razor next to each other, the one closest to the corpse will get the bonus damage. I'll put up an FAQ soon since these and other concerns are fairly common. -- BondG This is a sound strategy, but remember to place your "killing" tower somewhere in the center so that other towers will gain experience. ---- A bit off-topic but I'd like to apologize for letting the board stagnate a bit. Now I've got top-scores of several maps. My strategies is: To building a lighting tower as the main tower, and upgrade the two difference skills with the two yellow gems. Make sure that the main tower could attack the largest range, and could kill enemies where there is most buildings arround. Then build all Tornado Generators arround the attack range You should control the attack distance to make sure that more enemies is killed and more building can get experence.
